Fucking while feminist : gender performativity in feminist and mainstream pornographic films

This thesis analyzes the role that gender performativity plays in two pornographic films -- Hello, Pool Boy! and Jean Fucking -- and hypothesizes about possible effects of these films on the gender enactment of their viewers. In doing this, it seeks to challenge the notion that feminist pornography necessarily avoids the citation of restrictive gender norms apparent in mainstream pornography.
